Getting to Banff and Lake Louise
With plenty of transportation options to get you to and from the Banff and Lake Louise area, you can rest easy knowing you'll be able to plan a seamless journey from start to finish.

Start your Banff and Lake Louise adventure with a day full of beautiful scenery and history in the town of Banff.
Walk
Distance: 0.7km
From downtown Banff make use of the new Nancy Pauw Pedestrian Bridge for a quick and easy walk to Warner Stables.
Walk
Distance: 1.2km
Stretch your legs after your horse ride with an easy walk along a beautiful tree covered trail to the Cave & Basin.
Day 02
Spend another day exploring the town of Banff and its surrounds with a focus on wildlife, nature and lots of time outdoors in the fresh air.
Day 03
Wake up and say yes to adventure with a Big Canoe Tour. Starting at the Banff Canoe Club you'll take a guided paddle up the Bow River with plenty of opportunities to enjoy the views and spot wildlife. Refuel with lunch and then spend the afternoon shopping for souvenirs and keepsakes in the Banff downtown core.

After your canoe return to downtown Banff on foot for some shopping.
Day 04
Hit the road and take the scenic route along the Bow Valley Parkway as you head to your next destination in Lake Louise. Stop at Johnston Canyon on the way for short hike to see breathtaking waterfalls.
Day 05
For your final full day in the Canadian Rockies you'll explore the Lake Louise area and experience everything it has to offer.
Car
Distance: 4km
Take a short drive from your accommodation in Lake Louise to the Lake Louise Gondola where you will be leaving your car for the day.
Shuttle
Distance: 7km
Use the Parks Canada shuttles from the Lake Louise Gondola to the Lake Louise lakeshore. Tickets for the shuttles must be reserved in advance.
